Could it be a possibility? Perhaps it isn't as far-fetched as I once thought.

Given the realities of this campaign and the quality of our current front runner. Given the one person (other than Bill Clinton) who knows FIRST HAND how talented and Intelligent she is.

Given the possibility that he may enter the race and receive the nomination, making her a very logical candidate for Vice President.

The more we see of this campaign, the more plausible a result: Gore/Clinton. And the idea actually makes me :wow: and :woohoo:!!!

1. Isn't the Gore/Clinton relationship rather rocky considering how Billy
let Al be blindsided by what happened during the Lewinsky witch hunt?

2. Who knows? I'm inclined to think Al and Hillary respect each other.
And know how to work well together, regardless.

8. You may have a point. They were both victim of Billy's twitchy crotch.
One because he was so deceitful, and the other because he was so deceitful. But in different ways for both.

6. Wasn't the Kennedy/Johnson relationship a little less than cordial?
Yet, the 1960s saw much progress in this country.

3. Other than the fact
that Gore is not running. And I honestly don't see her as willing to settle for the VP spot.

Not to mention we're still a long way from the actual election of 2008. I've been complaining all along that we should not be looking too seriously, and we should definitely not (any of us) be committing ourselves to any one candidate anywhere this early on. We should all be willing to look at all those running (and, I suppose some of those not running at this point) with a truly open mind. I'm particularly horrified that so many states are moving up their primaries and caucuses. We'll have the nominee decided before what used to be the traditional start of the primary/caucus season, and that does not strike me as a good thing at all.

It's too bad all of the states can't simply find a way to select their Convention Delegates as early as they want to, but all of the delegates are officially -- and genuinely -- uncommitted, and come together to think seriously and carefully about who the nominee should be. Alas, Democrats of far too contentious to hope that a unified convention, with strong support of a good candidate could actually happen that way.

4. But contentious or not, it would be far more... Democratic. nt

7. Wouldn't it though?
I've come around to thinking that a national primary ought to be held perhaps in April. Maybe the second vote getter should automatically be the V-P nominee. It's hard to say if that would be better than the Presidential nominee selecting his/her running mate. But it would be the closest thing to a popular election we're likely to see in this country, and it would get all the candidates out to more than four or five states (Iowa, New Hampshire, a couple of other early primary/caucus states) the way it happens now. And of course during the regular campaign, our stupid Electoral College system insures that the vast majority of us never have any hope of seeing a candidate in our state.

11. That's a good plan...
The second highest vote getter becomes the VP candidate and eliminate the electoral college altogether, which over time would completely marginalize the Republican Party out of existence...

I like it!

10. I have always thought that Gore was waiting to enter the race if HRC started
to flounder.

I think it's some sort of deal with Billy boy.

Just don't see any other reason he hasn't entered yet.
