Chris Mathews on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" ...
This guy is unreal.
He acts like he did not appease the administration to
cheer the country into the war.

Maybe someone can get a video link? Thanks.

1. Oh man... please don't tell us he's drooling over Rudy again?

Last time he was on there, that's all he could talk about!!!

"Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, blah, blah, blah, blah....."

3. Mostly, he's angry that the administration has been lying ...
about Iraq.
That Hillary has pretty much locked up the Dems nomination,
because 60% of the voters are women, and she should get at least
30% of the women vote, which puts way ahead of the rest of the
field. Based on CM's logic.
Also about Rudy!

2. Who can forget Tweety in a state of arousal over Bush's Mission Accomplished codpiece?
For humanity's sake, I hope they've burned the tape.

5. Actually, you can still find that unbelievably disgusting transcript on the net!
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 12:23 AM by larissa

It takes a little searching on Google, but it's not hard to find.

(I know.. I know.. I should've looked it up before responding ) ...

But really, it's not hard to Google that transcript.

Sites like Media Matters (etc.) have preserved that pathetic show forever on the net!!!!

When you think back at how much Matthews was drooling in delight at how much he loved Bush that day, it really makes you SICK.

I sure as hell wish someone would replay portions of that show and have him respond now!!

(Of course.. no one in the MSM has the nerve to do that to the idiot)

13. Wasn't it after the codpiece when Tweety said that we're all neocons now?

17. And then, long after Tweety got a woody for Dubya, remember his "sunny nobility" ass kissing?
It was when things were starting to turn against the criminal chimp, and Matthews was waxing poetic about how the little illegitimate prick in the White House has a certain "sunny nobility." x(

during the BushCo years before it's too late.

4. Check the direction of the political wind. That's where you'll find Tweety.
Remember his orgasm over Bush's flyboy costume during the "Mission Accomplished" scenario?

Tweety loved that codpiece!

8. Still, I hope people took to heart what he said about Iraq.
We are surrounded and no matter when we leave, we will have to fight our way out. It's going to be bloody.

14. Nonsense
We didn't have to fight anyone but Saddam on the way in, and we won't have to fight anyone but al-Qaeda on the way out.

15. al Qaeda is a small group confined to the Sunni regions. al Qaeda
is not welcomed in Shia regions because it is Sunni. It is not welcomed in the Sunni regions because most of the Iraqi Sunnis are accustomed to secular ways and don't want the strict fundies running things.

When we leave, everybody on the way to Kuwait will take a parting shot at us. Dissing the Shia dominated government isn't helping matters.

16. No they won't ...
Because even on our way out we can destroy the Shiite dominated government and back a Sunni takeover ... again.

The Shiites (in Iraq or Iran) are not nearly that stupid.

Nothing will happen on our way out except a ton of whining by the neo-cons.

18. If someone came in and destroyed your home, killed your family,
and then tried to leave, wouldn't you give him a few whacks as he retreated out the door?

Many of the Sunni have left the country. They are outnumbered and lack the military hardware to dominate as they did in the past. It isn't just the Shia that have a bone to pick with the Sunni. The Kurds wouldn't mind filling a few mass graves with bodies of Sunni.

9. It is...

Leno appears to be on a two-week vacation. This week, they're repeating the shows from mid-July, the week of baseball's All-Star Game. (I read some of the jokes from tonight's monologue on politicalhumor.about.com back then.)

So Tweety thinks Hillary has the nomination "almost" sewed-up, and that she'll be save and pick Evan Bayh as her running-mate. Great, just what we need...an all-DLC ticket!

:argh:

11. Oh, God. I saw that when it happened. The goop hung on the bottom of his chin.
It threatened to fall off. He didn't seem to know it was there. They went to a commercial. When he came back, THERE IT WAS! It just destroyed me. I gave up, walked away: couldn't take it.

Maybe someone else stuck it out and learned what the hell happened to that thing. I've NEVER seen this happen with an adult human at any time in my life.

Do you imagine his staff is too afraid of hurting his feelings to tell him things like that? Holy smokes.
