Kucinich and Edwards...
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 06:38 AM by rndmprsn
These candidates are the final two that i am considering giving my vote...none of the other candidates have earned my primary vote yet.

it's going to be hard to chose between these two candidates but i believe IMHO either would make an outstanding progressive president for ALL americans.

..edit..

who agrees with me?

1. I agree with you.
I am tired of making do with "general election" candidates. This party has yet to recover from Terry McAuliffe.Living in Pa. I voted for Dennis in 04.

If that happens I don't know if I will support him in favor of these two.

If Gore gets in the race, my vote is for him. If he stays out, it will be either Edwards or Kucinich. Whatever it takes to keep a corporatist out as our nominee!

My brain tells me Edwards. My heart says Kucinich. My brain says Edwards will be more "palatable" for independents and disgruntled republicans.

12. I do.
Dennis has been my candidate since 2003 and I agree with him on pretty much everything. And I admire his hard work and his willingness to speak out and take a stand despite all the crap that he's had to take for his views. He'd get my vote in the primary. But I am realistic about his chances and John Edwards is the other candidate that I admire. He's really stepped up to the plate recently, speaking out even on unpopular subjects, which the others have not. He's gained a whole lot of experience since 2004. I think that he'd make a great president, as well.:-)

14. I'd agree as well
I plan on voting Kucinich, but if it comes down to it and Edwards is really packing heat in my state, then I might switch to avoid someone else winning. That or Gore entering the race; those are the only two conditions in which I'll change my vote.

15. I think they would be a good team as well.
After Dennis Kucinich, I believe John Edwards would be the most likely to win and do the least harm to the nation.

22. I'm In... But Do Prefer Edwards, However Kucinich Has Views That I
agree with completely. It's just too bad about "perception" and what it does to people who don't really pay that much attention to the "reality" of politics thereby letting MSM choose a candidate FOR them.

I do feel Edwards DOES have a chance to get the nod, I'm afraid that Kucinich is a favorite of only the very dedicated Democrats! It's such a shame too!

MAYBE, just maybe with the "length" of time and the amount of debates that have been and will go on, some will get to get a better chance to see more than usual and do some thinking. But for now, it seems it's either All Clinton or All Obama. I do like Obama, but Edwards comes first.

I understand if you're still getting to know him, but he has a clear record of advocating for progressive principles in the Illinois State Senate and US Senate.

25. nope - not yet - Edwards has work to do
i'm currently planning on voting for Kucinich. I'll vote for Gore if he gets in. Edwards? no so much.

I really loved Edwards comments about "corporate Democrats." But, too many of his positions are not consistent with that.

For a detailed discussion on why I think Edwards has a long way to go, check out this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3471103&mesg_id=3471103

33. Edwards is running much closer to Kucinich now than he did in 2004
Then, he was just a handsome guy whose schtick was "I'm from the South, and there are two Americas." This time, he's actually putting out substance on what he intends to do on that last thing.

Compared to Kucinich, he's still too much into keeping the US as the military dominator of the world, though.

popular than they wish to report.

Even watch Alison on Keith tonight, she goes no further than to talk about Edwards. This is nuts.

Edited on Fri Aug-24-07 04:38 AM by w4rma
Edwards scares the heck out of the right-wing.

Edwards has the entire Congressional delegation from North Carolina supporting him for President. I don't know that Kucinich has a single member of his state's delegation supporting him. That speaks to their political skills and what they each will be able to accomplish once in office.
