Carville is looking for a slogan for 2008.
What do you think? Does this fall under the "necessary evil" category?

Dear Condenado:

I've always said that if you hear a good idea in Washington, you can bet it came from someone outside of Washington.

Here's your chance to prove me right.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is launching a campaign to find the bumper sticker slogan that will carry us through the 2008 elections. It'll be on their website, on campaign literature and on the bumpers of jalopies coast to coast.

We need a turn of phrase that really jumps out and tells you right off the bat what this election is all about. In 1992, it was "It's the Economy, Stupid." In 2006, Democrats simply said "Had Enough?" It was the only question America needed to ask.

We got a few ideas, and we even taped one of our brainstorming sessions. Take a look and then, do us the favor of voting for one of our top picks. But if you got something better, we'll throw that in the mix too.

Click here to see why the DSCC needs your help - then vote on which bumper sticker slogan you want to see in 2008! And if you've got a different idea entirely, let us know.

I'll tell you what. When I look at 2008, I'm telling you that Democrats have almost everything we need to send another wave of Republican Senators out to pasture.

They've got to protect 22 incumbents. We've got 12. We're going to get top shelf, whip smart candidates. They've got a bunch of drones. We've got a record to run on. They've got a record any politician with half a brain would run from.

Things are so bad for Republicans these days that even Karl Rove is getting out of Dodge. But we've still got to stay sharp. We've got to stay ready. We have to constantly remind people of the stakes involved, and the choice they have.

And that is what this bumper sticker campaign is all about. You're going to decide the phrase that gets put on cars, office cubicles, windows, and if you're a little crazy like me, directly on the forehead of that wayward GOP supporter in your life. Heck, come up with something good enough, I'll risk my own safety and put it on my wife's car.

This election could be the biggest turning point this country has had in a generation. If we get a Democrat in the White House, working with a Democratic Senate and House, we can do some real good for this country.

But if you want that better future, we need to step up now.

Have at it,

James Carville

1. How about this one "Divorce Mary Matalin, James!"
Don't trust a "Dem" consultant who literally sleeps with the enemy.

2. Not to mention that he would set aside any slogan which favors the populist candidate.
Let's see, "Dont Worry, Be Happy" has been used. How about, "Take Soma and Com'a vote DLC"?

3. I am partial to "Go F*ck Yourself Carville!"
But that is just me... the "ranging cajun" always sounded more like a case of bad jambalaya-induced diarrhea.

keep his big trap shut and prove he was a professional?

11. He is a professional
The only question is which side is he working for.

I recommend the second line of your sig for the slogan; a bit too long for a bumper sticker, though.

15. Vote for us, we are not them!
Since the Democratic Congress has done nothing but cave in to Bush, we have to have a slogan that represents us best.

26. If we float it now for the GE campaign..
many people understandably call this war INSANE. Those words will take on a new meaning, making Susan Pouder(sp) just a distant memory..

You can let public opinion decide...maybe?
