Waiting for Gor'ot
I will confess that I am still waiting for Al Gore.

Is anybody else thinking similarly -- and if so, how long will you wait?

I will wait (and will be saving up some donation money) about eight or ten more weeks before committing to and financially supporting one of the announced candidates.

This does not mean that I can't stand any or all of the other candidates; I think it is a strong field. At this time, I simply prefer and choose (my choice) Al Gore.

5. LOL!
yeah, that's probably me too. I will come back to Gore if he announces long after I've started working for/giving to one of the others...

I tend to think that any support of any Dem, is still working against the Repuke machine.

3. About 2 months ago I proclaimed to friends that Gore would run.

I stand by that, and I'll stand by him.

If I'm wrong, it's Kucinich or Edwards, depending on who's still standing.

14. Me too.
I've said the same to everyone, and I do believe he will run. How can he not? He loves his grandchildren. He will run.

4. Love your Godot reference.
I hate to sound pessimistic, but I think it's time to wish Al Gore the best with the wonderful work he is doing now for the environment, and turn our eyes to the candidates who have already thrown their hats into the ring.

6. Love Beckett. Your comment may be realism and not pessimism

but I'm still holding out for a little while longer. I do not get all the bashing here - I definitely prefer some over others, but ANY of these candidates would bring in a crack Cabinet and make good appointments - and THAT is where the REAL governing happens!

edit: gotta learn to write some day

8. I'm waiting for Al -- you're far from alone.
I'm accepting no substitutes. I'll wait until the minute I cast my vote. No one will get any money from me unless he runs. I still don't know who I'll vote for if he doesn't jump in.

9. Until the Convention
If Gore isn't on my primary ballot, I'll vote for Kucinich. Might as well vote for an unelectable candidate I like, rathern than an unelectable candidate I don't much care for.

11. Time Is Running Out
He has until the middle of October I figure.

Anything under 3 months prior to the more frontloaded primaries, and it will be much more difficult.

13. Yeah, I'm thinking it takes some 90 days to get on the ballots
- the primary ballots - in most states. It's difficult for people to vote for you if your name isn't on the ballot. So to your point, he is running out of time to make his final, final decision and to get an infrastructure in place.

I don't know yet when I'll support someone else. Maybe if Gore endorses someone...

You'd be nothing more than a little heap of bones at the present minute, no doubt about it.

19. I'm holding out for Gore.
I'm guessing if he announces, it will be sometime in September or October. And if he does, I will not only vote for him, I'll send money and give blood, toil, tears and sweat to get him elected. Again.
