How many here are scared to death that no matter who we run, |

some twist of fate (or Diebold) will put another Republican in the White House? What possible third party candidate haunts your nightmares?

2. We have to remove twists of fate. |
|
That involves Dem voter registration and serious GOTV efforts.
It involves the 24/7 hammering of the GOP candidate the moment the nomination is decided till election day.
And it involves hitting the GOP back everytime they so much as look cross eyed in our direction.

Unlike the last two elections. The media may be a different story, but hopefully Dems will be ready when the knives come out this time.

I'm just taking it as a given that no matter who gets in, things will progress as they are now, either faster or slower depending upon which party is in charge.

10. I think rove is off plotting now and he already has some |
|
despicable ideas to steal the next election. They know they can't use the election machines, caging, the attorneys, money from our taxes to boost the republican image we have already caught those. So what else has he gotten the crap tanks to do. It has to be something because there is no way in hell they are going to let a democratic president have the power bush has stolen for himself. Or should I say for cheney.

...and never be held responsible. Do I think we'll have a fair and democratic election in 2008, after the American public sat still for two stolen elections? NOT A CHANCE!

14. The problem is that Reps are at work in all 50 states... |

...and are already doing what they can to purge roles, etc. Dean is trying to put Dems on the ground in his 50-state strategy, but we're really behind when it comes to state operatives.

The fear factor is wearing very thin these days and it is really all the the Repubs have at their disposal. Unless there is another terrorist attack I think any of our top three candidates will win this thing. I also think it has become increasingly difficult for Repubs to steal elections. Not that they won't try but if 2006 was any indicator, the cat is already out of the bag.

I haven't been this cocky about winning since Bill Clinton's re-election campaign.
It's a slam dunk.

I am scared of him as the top choice on a 3rd party ticket.
He is very principled, which holds attraction to a lot of people, BUT he is an extreme right wing zealot on nearly every issue, but the war.
He could easily win, especially if the dems nominate one of the 'war' candidates like Edwards, Clinton, Biden or Dodd.
