Of course, politics being what it is that probably won't happen.

1. We can. Let's rally behind Obama and bring change to Washington.

2. I can see it happening after one drops out.
The other throws his support to the remaining one in exchange for a VP slot. only question is whether it will be too late to stop the H-train.

6. Most likely that would be Edwards dropping out, but yes it may be too little too late.
If it happens at all. I can more easily see Edwards throwing his support to Obama than Obama throwing his support to Edwards.

29. I think Edwards is rolling the dice in the early states.
He doesn't have the resources that the others have. But he's throwing it all at Iowa and it appears to be paying off. Too early to tell, really, I suppose, but if I had to pick which campaign would fold first I'd say Edwards.

3. Obama wants "unity and healing" with the Republicans
fuck that. Truly fuck that. When the Republicans stop being warmongering, antideluvian, nutjob homophobic freaks, then maybe we can find some common ground.

Until then, give me John Edwards.

16. You are seeming rather defensive. Well, of course this premise would be most threatening to Edwards
so that makes sense.

21. In what way? I cited a fact. I have also said I am unsure whether there is an anti-HRC bloc
The notion that there is an anti-HRC bloc is accepted here without any questions being asked.

It threatens Edwards in what way? A Clinton nomination is not anything that must be prevented. A Clinton presidency would be superior to an Obama presidency.

Barack Obama keeps saying shit that raises the hair on my neck.

Calling Mike Huckabee "Decent", when he is an asshole who hates gay people and doesn't even believe in evolution! I mean, for fuck's sake.

7. That is premised on the notion of there being an anti-HRC bloc
Edited on Thu Aug-23-07 10:24 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
I don't think that is clear. She is after all the most popular Democrat among Democratic voters, including when it comes to favorables. However, I cannot dismiss the possibility of there being a big anti-HRC bloc because she has some of the trappings of an incumbent vice president, think Gore in 2000, given how well-known she is and how associated she is with an administration. She is arguably more tied to the Clinton administration then even Gore was in 2000. She has far less room for improvement, in theory, because of this than the other candidates. Of course, what has happened this year is that she has risen in the polls, Obama has steadily declined as people get to know him better, and Edwards has remained static so far.

27. And assuming Obama has not made a concerted effort to align with Edwards...
to defeat Hillary. And Edwards rebuked Obama for suggesting it...

Apparently, Obama is feeling weak and thinks aligning with Edwards would help HIS campaign.
