I just took a walk over to the "dark side" and will no longer worry about our great DU controversies regarding our candidates. I know we often disagree and appreciate the great arguments I've seen posted here. The FReepers are truly eating their own and you'll notice the last poster pretty much agrees....

Ever been to a track meet? When one or two guys jump the gun and start running prematurely, doesn't everyone think they're jumpy dorks? Watch their shoulders slump as they meekly return to the starting line in embarassment. Doesn't the guy who holds back until the proper time end up having a serious psychological advantage over his competitors?

Fred is cleaning up with this strategery. Admire it for what it is: brilliant and effective. Since he's "unannounced" he can also write and talk wherever he wants to, without idiotic and illiberal "fairness" regulations clamping down on him and his hosts. Brilliant. Is he leveraging some sort of loophole? Sure! And it's fantastic.

I see on Free Republic daily how willing the GOP voters are to eat their own.
Not really debating issues just nasty juvenile remarks like

Coulda fooled me. He talks like a greasy New York thug. This will not play well in flyover country. Many folks have "issues" with greasy New York thugs. If Giuliani has a brain in his head he'll muzzle this guy quick. Giuliani can't afford to acquire a reputation as being a greasy New York thug or being handled by greasy New York thugs.
