Obamites and Clintonites should be friends, not enemies
I see hostile comments coming from Clinton supporters towards Obama and vice versa. This is baffling. Both, though frontrunners, are considered minorities as far as elected political officials go. They are catching sh!t from all sides--mainly people who don't want to see a female or black president, though they hide their true feelings behind fake outrage/meaningless scandals.

Obamites and Clintonites should unite. How about a truce?

2. We will do that after Obama wins the primaries.
Hillarites do deserve a second chance. :)

4. When the nomination is settled, there will be a kiss and make up period.
Both groups of supporters have proven themselves quite capable of handling attacks and dishing them out should the need arise.

But in the spirit of the thread

5. another piece of faulty logic based on facts not in evidence
you say:

"They are catching sh!t from all sides--mainly people who don't want to see a female or black president, though they hide their true feelings behind fake outrage/meaningless scandals."

that's just an opinion without any particular merit. and since you posted the same thought the other day maybe you want to have some facts to support your contention. or not.

7. Reason for uniting
They should unite because their campaign messages are one and the same.

They propose the same thing all Democrats have been proposing for the past years. They propose to keep America moderate and to keep conservatives from gaining more edge in America. Trouble is, moderate has become conservative. And progressive change...Well, we've forgotten how fabulous that can be. We've forgotten what a progressive candidate truly looks and sounds like. And we've forgotten to get out and support real Democrats or should I say, progressives.

9. so, if I'm not thrilled with the idea of Hillary or Barak as a candidate,
I'm automatically one of "those" who doesn't want a woman or an African-American as a candidate?

10. Good point.
I think it's beautiful that we have made so much progress in America that we can actually be arguing over which candidate is more qualified/charismatic/experienced etc without, outwardly at least, being sexist or racist.

History will show that these candidates helped improve the U.S. just by running, as do the other Democratic candidates.

Despite the harsh rhetoric lately at DU, I'm extremely proud of this field.
