Because, goddamn it, the people we elected don't seem to want to do what we want them to do...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU TO TAKE BACK WASHINGTON, CONGRESS, THE CAPITOL, IMPEACH OR CONVICT WHOEVER NEEDS TO BE IMPEACHED OR CONVICTED AND DO YOUR GODDAMNED DUTY TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION FROM ALL ENEMIES FORIEGN AND DOMESTIC. Did you hear me? I said foreign AND DOMESTIC.

But <democracy hat> maybe this is how it changes. People get pissed and do stuff. I don't think I'd be elected, but I swear I'm almost at the point where I will run. </democracy hat>

6. And this is the problem

"skeletons in the closet". Whether my ex-wife, or something I did 20 years ago, it will come back to haunt me.

I suspect the most very capable people don't run for this very reason, because you don't get to be 45 or whatever without something lurking there.

Right now, we're in a time where stuff like that gets exploited. But that sucks. Politics has been made so dirty that only the cleanest people or the thickest skins will run, and invariably the cleanest people don't get elected.

Mr. Washington, Mr. Jefferson, Mr. Franklin, I hate to say it, but there seems to be a fly in the ointment. Let's pray that someone else can clear this up. We're having a bit of a problem here ourselves.
