I would be 100% behind any of these.

6. Since Gore isn't running, do you have a real candidate? |
|
I hate to be the Red Death at the Christmas table, but Gore has made it clear he is not going to run. And all this wishing otherwise...well, that's what all those people did with Ross Perot. So do you have someone in mind who has actually committed to a Presidential run?

Provided it's not a DLC hack like HRC, Bayh, or Vilsack.
Obama/Richardson or Obama/Biden would be fine with me. Richardson and Biden could help with what some may see as Obama's inexperience with foreign policy.
Worst case scenario: Obama/Powell. That ticket would destroy my faith entirely in Obama.

23. Why would Powell join Obama's ticket? |
|
That's just screwy. If you're thinking Powell would ask, just to salve his reputation for the treachery he practiced he under Bush, he'd hafe to be really deluded. And even if Obama would ask Powell - something I can't imagine - would this year's Democratic convention let him have that particular choice?
That ticket would be as likely as Obama/Snoop Dogg.

18. He has not made it clear |
|
If he had, he would have asked the draft movement to stop as he did for the 2004 election. He has not asked us to stop, and, until he does, we will keep working hard to convince him to run.

22. Have you considered he doesn't want to break your heart? |
|
Right now Gore seems to be like the grandfather who knows he's dying of cancer, but promises his little nephew he'll go fishing with him next summer.
There are two factors here; the grandfather who wants the kid to have happy memories, and the kid who doesn't understand the harsher realities of existence such as cancer and death.
Some people think that losing your innocence - about mortality or the reality of politics - is tragic. I always thought it was better to know the truth than to keep a lie alive.
In other words, Al Gore isn't running for President, and there ain't no Easter Bunny, either.

and we'd all rather know the truth -- even if it's a bit inconvenient. I think Al of all people knows that. Once he's absolutely positive one way or the other, I'm sure he'll issue a formal statement.

20. LOL - point well taken.....Gore's not a know-all/be-all/solution GOD-person.... |
|
We people have to solve our own problems. Good leadership is very important, but it's not the "end-all/be-all". Gore is 'leadership, he's NOT the end-all/be-all.
WE HAVE TO SOLVE OUR OWN PROBLEMS!

28. I was being a little facetious... |
|
...but I am wild about Gore. I do believe that he is the "end all be all" because of the critical juncture at which our country stands.
I don't believe there is another Dem candidate who has the electability and the integrity and courage to restore our country to what it once was.
I agree we have to solve our own problems. Of course. However, leaders make a world of difference. Look at what Bush has done to us in less than a decade.

Frankly, I just want Gore to chose his own VP this time instead of having a committee do it for him. He could pick a cocker spaniel and still win though.

|
say, oh....I dunno.....how 'would it be different' if we had AL GORE as our President? Maybe that's a place to BEGIN.
I mean, even if Gore doesn't run.....WHY ARE SO MANY OF US HOPING that he does run?
America desperately DESPERATELY needs a change, for the good.....we ALL KNOW THIS!
Who's gonna have the *balls* for it? I dunno.....

30. My ideal ticket is Gore/Gore, |
|
but, I'm not sure if Gore would be willing serve as Vice-President again, however as he would be serving under him self as President, I believe he would be tempted. :)
Unfortunately cloning is still decades away.:-(
On the other hand, I'm not really for human cloning, so that's cool.
I guess the upshot is, I will trust Al Gore's judgment and support whoever he chooses as his running mate. :)

but there probably aren't enough INFORMED/paying-attention/honest citizens to make that combo 'work'.
I sat for 12 hours today with someone who *is honest/caring*, and feels they are 'informed', but only gets his info from MSM.....WOW....there is SOOOOOOOO much documented stuff that he has never even heard of....much less has time to believe/digest as 'true'.
