Quote: First because Obama doesn't want it to happen and second the DNC doesn't want to see it happen. he said this on his show this past week.

1. Should we let alk show hosts decide the ticket?
Obama would jump at the chance to be Vice President.

2. Common Sense tells us the two cannot be on the same ticket.
The Democratic took a giant step in having the frontrunners
be a Woman and a Black Man.

As much as I would like it to be otherwise, there is a reality.
There are Americans who absolutely will not vote for a woman.
There are Americans who absolutley will not vote for an African
American.
These groups of people are not necessarlly the same people.

People lie in polls. They do not wish to sound prejudiced
to the pollster--so oh, yeah I would vote for a woman, etc.

To put both HRC and Obama on the same ticket would be to chancy
in the numbers game. It just might be giving the GOP a win.

This post has nothing to do with the ability of either
candidate. It is about attitudes in the American Electorate.

3. while it's true
that there are people who won't vote for a woman or won't vote for a black man, I doubt the Dems were ever going to get the votes of those people anyway.

I think there's a lot of people who would be energized by such a ticket and turnout or our side would be increased.

4. You make a good point, but consider the fact
that Guilliani is pulling Democratic
votes.

When one listens to Guilliani's plan and vision,
common sense tells you he will bury the country
in the ditch that George Bush crashed. Yet, that
old "strong White Man" image sells.

All I am saying is, we will have to pick one or
the other and every Democrat is going to have to
work until we drop.

This election is not a shoein for Democrats.

Do I wish our country had advanced beyond this,
Heck yes.

5. Meh
I don't worry about Giuliani. I don't think he'll get the nomination, and if he does, I think he'll easily be beatable.

Right now he's running only on the aura of 9/11 - people know very little about him. When they get to know him better, I don't think they'll like him very much.

6. Hillary is more likely to go for geography rather than demography
and it's hard to imagine why anyone would expect the Clintons to be excited about the VP slot (or what she could possibly add that another prospect without her negatives can bring to the ticket).

So I agree.
