GOP Activists Root for Clinton Win
GOP activists root for Clinton win

INDIANAPOLIS — He may be on his way out the door at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in coming days. But the party Karl Rove has labored to build over the past eight years seems to have picked up his talking points on next year’s presidential race: Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee and that could be the GOP’s saving grace in an otherwise uphill battle.

Conversations with Republicans gathered here for the biennial Midwest Republican Leadership Conference reflect a party unenthused or just plain uncertain about their potential White House nominee. But GOP faithful also seem quite confident and even upbeat about the prospect that the senator from New York is, as Rove put it, the “prohibitive favorite to win the nomination.”

That likelihood, they say, is good news for any hopes of keeping the White House and getting other Republicans on the ballot elected.

Thanks for posting this.

Just exactly what I've been saying/hearing/thinking all along. Hearing 'Krazy Karl' Rove say this only confirms it, although I think he may have played the GOP's hand too soon...

They're pulling for Hill because they've already excavated the slime on her and can proceed without breaking a sweat.

The rest they have to actually get into the trenches to excavate some dirt.

But an ugly time is guaranteed for all.

6. The thing that makes me laugh about them wanting Hillary,
is the last laugh will be us laughing. If they think they can beat Hillary if she is the nominee, they have been sniffing to much glue. After all you just have look at what she will be running against. They haven't got a candidate that's worth a hill of beans and till * is finished the people will have had their fill of any republican. Yep, we'll have the last laugh that's for sure.

9. Yeah, newflash, perps...

...you couldn't even beat Hillary. Not even if Reagan woke from the dead and ran at this point. So unless you really want her in office, stay the hell away from our primaries with your vote rigging and lying sack of crap hate radio jocks.
