NYT "kids" article is hit piece on Edwards

Today's NYT article on candidates and kids by Jodi Kantor appears on the surface as a human-interest story covering various candidates and their young children. But the words used when discussing the Edwardses is heavily loaded ("upended", "dragged", "pleasure palace") and supports the RW attacks that he will selfishly use his kids, Elizabeth's illness, and anything else in his power-hungry quest.

I posted in a thread in the middle of the night and assumed that someone else would post a thread devoted just to his piece.

When I checked by here this afternoon, no further posts, so I decided it needed its own thread. I did a quick Google on Jodi Kantor and Edwards and saw that Daily Kos and a couple of bloggers had picked it up. brillantatbreakfast makes most of my points (one I will place in separate thread).
