Give me the CVs and resumés. |
|
We're hiring someone for a job, to represent us. I don't care what the media pundits and handlers think, and I don't care what these people look like. Most of all, I don't care how "electable" they are--that's what got us in trouble in the last election; it was imbecile logic.
How do they stack up in terms of experience and ability to lead?

1. What about where they plan to lead us? |
|
Isn't that important too?

3. Yes, that's important too, but I want to see Where they've been first. |
|
We don't need the level of interpretation we're getting from the media.

2. Ya know, I'd change your subject... |
|
...because as worded, you might end up with a whole lot of resumes from random DUers :-)

7. At this point a lot of people don't care... |
|
...we get resumes showing up for totally unrelated fields where I work.
People just need to work, and will jump at any chance. Pity really, work should be a sellers market.

5. Look At How They Voted ON THE IMPORTANT VOTES |
|
Certain candidates vote "left" most of the time, but usually go hard right on the big stuff - going to war in Iraq, permanent "free" trade status for China, and so forth. That way they can say that they vote left 90% of the time, but they can still deliver the goods to their patrons.

One thing I can say is that I won't be voting in any primary for anyone who was stupid or greedy enough to give the Chimp the power to go to war with Iraq.

13. I just can't do it. And I was talking to several friends as well |
|
tonight, all of whom were at least ten years older than I am--and they won't do it either.

15. As time has passed and more and more blood lost to this war |

I've grown firmer and firmer in this conviction. It's a matter of accountability and justice. I won't reward that failure with my vote. I cannot.

This isn't a Junior High School election personality contest.
I like Obama because of his dedication to community organization, his lecturing on Constitutional Law, his 7 years in the Illinois State Senate, and now 2 years in the U.S. Congress. I'm glad he has only two years in Washington.
He has a long and distinguished history of making things happen through organization and persuasion.
Hi. My name is AK and I approve of this message.

14. I'm very impressed with Obama, but I'm a little taken aback |
|
by his lack of experience. I'd love to see him as a VP at this point. I'm trying to be completely honest here, because he is the most immediately likable of all of the candidates, and he's probably the closest, culturally, to my upbringing. (By this I mean the midwesterner and the UCC Church as well as some...good education.)
He's genuine.
So I "heart" Obama, but I'm not sure if he's ready yet. If he isn't now, he soon will be. One of my siblings, who is tough to persuade in any direction, is very taken with Obama. That gives me hope.
So I'm wavering between Obama and Richardson, actually. they both have solid credentials and would be great at governing.
