10. Next MSM attack was in Sunday NYT

Bad parenting! Selfishly upending his young children and dragging them on the campaign, away from their friends, schools, sports, dog, and 28,000 sqft pleasure palace.

That is the gist of the Sunday NYT article by Jodi Kantor which on the surface appears to be about all the candidates with young children. But she uses the negatively loaded language almost exclusively wrt the Edwardses.

These comments have been part of the RW attacks for a long time and intensified following the recurrence of Elizabeth's cancer. While the house and haircut have been in the MSM for a while, the NY Times article is the first I have seen that works so many of these other TPs into a mainstream story. By doing the attack in a feature article including several other candidates, this article has probably received less scrutiny than a news or policy article does.

The other important thing about Kantor's article is that it seems to confirm my (minority) analysis that Michelle Obama's comments last week were not aimed at Clinton, but were instead at Edwards. After making some digs at the Edwardses, Kantor describes Edwards and Obama as the most-opposite in how they are parenting during the campaign, and then follows with Michelle Obama's points from last week.
