Why are we just now finding out about this? Was there a cover up? I find it hard in this day and age that a US Senator can get busted, go to court and plead no contest and no one knew about it.

1. There is always a court date set in the future.
The problem I have with this is that the actual arrest was not publicized. :dem:

2. Yeah I don;'t have a problem with the court date either, I'm pointed out both dates
To demonstrate there was significant activity on this case and it was kept quiet.

3. If your were Craig would you have reported it to your ethics person?
Or to a fellow Senator-neighbor such as Hatch?

Can't remember the Foley story - did they (House Repubs) hear about him from the outside or did he turn himself in to them? They had somebody in the House who handled 'scrapes'. Do they have one for the Senate?

12. Could be - seems the GOP have been in the news a bit on this topic & the
kids may have just assumed Dad was out of it as that is not a bad assumption on most things on most days! :-)

down for the GOP transgressor seems yet another proof of the value of political control of the media.

he tried to hide it, and it didn't work. The national media don't have reporters in every courtroom in the country.

I call BS on that one. There is no way his lawyer wasn't involved in this.
