Did Congress compromise to get Gonzalez & Rove out? |
|
Rumsfeld went the day after the Democratic party won both houses. That could have been a compromise. Bush may have been showing at that point in time he is willing to take a new route in Iraq.
It is not coincidence that Rove & Gonzo resigned while congress was on summer vacation. It was probably decided long before they went on vacation. What did we compromise to get Rove & Gonzo out? Was it the spy bill? Or worse yet we will allow Bush to continue the "war with no end". The worse case scenario would be we got Gonzo in exchange for the spy bill & Rove for the "Farce in Iraq". We will see when congress comes back. How serious are these guys going to look in trying to end the "Farce in Iraq"? How many Republicans are they going to try to get on board to end this? How far will they go in fighting the president on this?
At the end of the day Rove & Gonzo did not leave on their own. They left because of politics.

Not punching Rove and Gonzalez in their brown encrusted noses was a huge compromise
