Political Coverage in US Media
Among other things, their study of the US Presidential election (#s for *B* are included) shows what we all just witnessed: The gunning down of an honest man by a media with the precision of a sharpshooter and much in the way of vested interests to protect.

"Media Tenor Ltd. is the world's leading provider of international media content analysis
and provides in-depth analysis of new and traditional media content worldwide."

Ted Rall agrees

excerpt:

NEW YORK--Bush must be laughing his ass off. Voters too dim to recall yesterday's news are letting him get away with running on the imaginary successes of a phony record. Lazy journalists are allowing him to run on a patently fictional platform of promises while ignoring the disastrous realities he has planned for 2004. Now Democrats, falling for Karl Rove's silly "we'd love nothing more than to run against Howard Dean" baiting, are about to hand him the November opponent nominee Republicans wanted all along: John Kerry.

.... much more in this article re: the deception of Ira* war.

3. Lessons learned:

1. Don't threaten the media. They enjoy the power they have over public discourse. They will bury you.

2. Don't threaten political insiders. They have media connections. They will bury you.

3. Don't lead a grassroots movement. It threatens both political insiders and the media, who will then bury you.

4. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I have been shouting this for months! These are some of the best links I have seen. I did a couple of threads yesterday and today on these issues (if you are interested in them, just click on my name) and the fact that I will vote ABB because of the Supreme Court Justices and the lower courts. But, I will have to hold my nose.

The White House has chosen and the media is advertising, all for Kerry.

The White House said, "They would love to run against Dean and hate to run against Kerry"! Have they lied about anything else? Why, oh why are we believing them over this?

5. This shouldn't need to be kicked..
Or are folks just realizing they've been had...again.

I'm on record re: the Rovian reverse psychology-- and got shot down.

We'll just have to wait and see.

As I've said before-- I don't deserve the country that will come of this. Those that refuse to think before they vote-- well, let em have it.

6. When I am just about to give up
and accept what a lot of my fellow Dean supporters have been telling me, that is, I'm wasting my time at DU, then I read something like this >>

I think it is safe to say, however, that the "Democrats" won't be leading the charge to return Power to the People. Our leaders and workers come from every political persuasion and walk of life. It's a People's movement, after all. So that's exactly as it should be.

Peace ..
