2. You do know that Majority Leader Johnson wasn't much of a fan of either
brash young JFK OR Hubert Horatio Humphrey, once upon a time, yes?

And words WERE spoken....it's politics. Ya get over it. You do the "unity" statement, and move on. Number Two subordinates to Number One.

3. No one is unbeatable .Ever. That kind of thinking is dangerous.
This is how we lose.

4. Castro said "seemingly invincible"
Edited on Tue Aug-28-07 11:18 PM by antiimperialist
He didn't say the ticket was invincible.
When you say that someone is, say, "seemingly sick", you are not 100% of this.

5. Fidel
First I would like to know how that info was obtained, When did he write it, or who wrote it for him. Some people think he is dead now, but the last real pictures of him are months old. I tend to think that this is some rethug stunt to get their base worked up.

9. Absolutamente!
If someone asked me, hypothetically, could the Republicans win the White House in 2008, after two terms of Bush failure, and I'd say, well, even after Bush, theoretically, hypothetically, they could. But you don't elect in the abstract; you elect a man, an individual, and this time, the Republicans have got NO ONE.

McCain of 2004? Possible. Sad, dying, "Old Man" McCain of 2008? No way. Guiliani? Mr. Too-New-Yorky, bald, shares-five-marriages-with-his-wife, pics of him in drag, Bernie Kerik, etc. etc? No way. Then there's Fred Thompson. An actor. Senator Doink-Doink. A Hollywood star, even. But a very unusual Hollywood star - one of the VERY few who is actually NOT good-looking! What's the point of that? Then there's Romney, nice face, but Mormon (there goes the evangelical vote, at least in enthusiasm and numbers. We take some red border states if it's him.)

They got no one! Rejoice!
(And I really do think that Hillary is our "winner." Obama wold make a nice VP too! )
