FOXNews Isn’t Sure What Party Senator Larry Craig Belongs To
We all know that FOXNews is famous for switching R’s to D’s when Republicans get into trouble or they don’t like what they hear from one, but they changed up their tactics in the case of Senator Lavvy Craig’s potty scandal. Instead of assigning him to the bad, naughty, nasty Democratic party, in the below article from their website FOX chose to completely leave out his political affiliation altogether. That’s right, nowhere in the article will you see the word REPUBLICAN attached to Senator Larry Craig’s name. The article also quotes numerous Republicans stating their disdain for the Senator’s actions — attempting to give the impression they weren’t talking about a fellow Republican. Brilliant!

Denying that he did anything wrong and stating emphatically that “I am not gay,” Sen. Larry Craig asked the people of Idaho on Tuesday to forgive him for being arrested two months ago in a police sting in a men’s room at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Craig, who was taken into custody on June 11 by a plainclothes officer investigating reports of lewd conduct in the restroom, said he pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge in an effort to suppress a story — pursued by his home-state newspaper — that he has secretly engaged in gay trysts.

Meanwhile, back in Washington, Republican leaders announced they will launch an ethics review of the senator.

6. Someone posted his mugshot yesterday
and I was quite surprised, he was not laughing and joking and making light of the fact that he's a criminal like delay and limbaugh did.

3. Will the republicans outsource their "ethics review?"
There is no one in the party or no one who supports the party qualified to do any review of anyone else's ethical failings.

4. So it really isn't news, is it?
It's propaganda.

Label it for what it is: carefully written and orchestrated to achieve the desired effect from the reader.

It's not news, it's all a lie.

5. They're counting on their viewers being so fucking stupid that they don't realize that
the GOP made SURE, when they had power, that the Ethics rule was, each party INVESTIGATES THEIR OWN.

7. I think they got that fucking stupid viewer thing wrapped up
Sad but so funny to think of anyone in the republican party conducting an "ethics" investigation about anything. It would be like limbaugh testifying before congress about the value of the fairness doctrine.

9. I don't think their viewers give a rat's ass
They'd support a repub over a Democrat no matter what the repub admitted to doing.

10. Americans are LAZY ABOUT HOW THEY GET THEIR NEWS.
I just left my realtor's office a few moments ago. Every time I've been in there, I've noticed she has a flat screen in the corner. And it's on. But this time I gave it a good look. Her office is a mountain of papers. The phone is on hold. The computer is downloading something. And there is the news flashing away (the way the news does these days, with all of their visual stimulation). And this is how she gets her news. And I conjecture that many Americans get their news in a similar fashion. Americans are so fucking lazy, they just want to be fed. And that's what is happening. Stick a D in front of his name, and it doesn't matter that they are corrected in a conversation later on. This will trickle down into their behavior. Maybe their decision making for the next candidate.

We need to stop FOX. It's not news. And they simply must either stop, or make it very obvious that they are entertainment. Hell, even Olberman is too much entertainment for me. As good as he is.

14. I dunno...after the whole "Mark Foley (D-FL)" thing happened, a lot of people
never allowed it into their subconscious. At least, the 70% of the country who's now arrayed against Bush will be able to realize that Craig is indeed a Republican.
