Suggestion: Change your avatar to the Fleur de Lis for Katrina anniversary today

When I visited New Orleans last month, I noticed that a lot of New Orleanians were wearing the Fleur De Lis on necklaces and such. It was obvious that it wasn't for the New Orleans Saints football team (well, maybe a little). It turns out that many people told me that it was a symbol to bring New Orleans back and was a sign of recovery from Katrina.

I would suggest that DUers change their current avatar for the 2nd anniversary of Katrina to show support. It's only a suggestion.

In October the Biloxi Lighthouse will replace the Magnolia bloom on our State Tags. I think a lighthouse would be a very appropriate memorial.

Or at least those parts that were heavily settled by the French. Mostly southern LA.
