As a human being I feel bad for him and the public spectacle is an embarassment to all of us. He has probably been living in a private hell for many years. The Republicans (like DeLay) keep complaining that we (Dems) wouldn't throw him out or press for resignation if he were in our party. I was pissed about those. I worked for the Clinton campaign and I remember him saying he would let gays serve freely in the military. I was
really mad when they backed down to DADT. I have to lay most of the blame on the Repub congress though. Clinton's failing was to compromise
too much - which is why Hillary is not my candidate. Too centrist.
