the Daily Show. Now that Hillary is making the rounds, I think he needs to get back on the air. His latest numbers have been really good!

36. Remember what he did in 2004 |
|
He quietly moved up the pack and became a factor. I expect him to do the same because he wears well on the public.
I have not decided who I like yet but I have a feeling Edwards is going to win in Iowa and not look back.

7. Yep, I think so. I am on board with him. However, |
|
we will see what we will see. I think he has a strong message and a great presence. I was undecided until earlier this week when I read some of his speeches. I was impressed. If we are going to get a liberal Dem, he is the one, I believe. But there are lots of DUers who feel he is not liberal enough. While I disagree with them, I do respect their opinion and I read them through so I can be better educated about their disagreements.

11. I always watch for the news that isn't happening. |
|
It is almost as if the candidates are taking a break (except for the article in Time) which I assume was written a few days back.
I don't know when the next debate is but I wish all of the candidates would step back for the next two weeks so the 9/11 anniversary, war report, Senator Craig story, Gonzo investigation, and Katrina followup stories get more than one news cycle.

19. I didn't mean taking a break from campaigning but |
|
taking a break from going after each other.
The going after each other thing always gets more press and pushes aside the other things citizens need to be thinking about - the big mistakes of the current regime.
It would be good for the party if all of their (Repub) bad stuff just played out without the distraction of the candidates barking at each other - except for the Repub candidates of course.

15. Yep. I noticed that. It's only been this week that the stories have actually |
|
reported on what he's said and what he's campaigning on, not on his bad poll numbers or his investments or his haircut.
And I'm glad. Edwards and Kucinich are the only two dems running as far as I can tell.

But only if Edwards is at the top of the ticket. I doubt that JE will take the #2 slot again.
Edwards/Obama would be one killer ticket, tho.

I feel a change is in the air. It is about time! Firt the carpenters union endorsement and I just heard that another major union endorsement is being announced on Labor Day. His poll numbers are rising nationally and he remains steady in Iowa.
Are we ready for bold transformational change in this country? I say bring it on!

23. Hi saracat. Well, you know that I noticed it. And it's real. |
|
He's not my choice, but I have to tell you that not one of the candidates in our great group has worked harder and under pressure more than John Edwards. He just kept going even when he was being written off (by me, too). I like that sort of fight in our candidates.
And I like the John Edwards I am seeing lately...a lot.
His new endorsement from the steel workers is a big thing, too.

He is liberal, yet with enough intelligence to know what the country need and what is needed most. He is clean, looks like the guy, mom would like her daughter to bring home, his wife is nice and very pretty, sort of reminds you of John Kennedy...I always thought we would have John John one day, well if not John John, just John will do as long as it is John Reid Edwards

33. The key to Edwards is Iowa. |
|
The national polls will follow the early contests. Just look at 04.
I remember 04 at labor day. So much can change between now and January.
I know this will not be believed by some, but Hillary's support could really plummet before Iowa. MOst of us today would believe that the race would be bewtween Hillary and either Obama or Edwards (assuming Gore or Clark doesn't enter the race). However...both Obama and Edwards are in this to stay, and they don't have as much to lose as Hillary. Either of them can wait for their opportunity. However, if one of them makes a challenge to Hillary and it gets close, I can see a lot of Hillary supporters abandoning her. After all, she is Ms Inevitable...and I sense a lot of her support is more defensive in nature than positive, so it could very easily crumble.
Perhaps Edwards is making his move now. Same could be said for Obama as Hillary above. If Edwards becomes the alternative to Hillary, Obama's support could plummet.
I am not an Edwards supporter, however I beg to differ with anyone who doesn't think he can win the nomination.
