OK, denizens of GD:P. Your first take on an Edwards v. Thompson Presidential contest!

Just for fun, now. With Fred Thompson finally getting in the race and all the hoopla about his TV persona, what kind of scenario can you envision with him up against John Edwards?

Will it be haircut versus young, trophy wife? Will it be young versus old?

We could do this with Thompson and Obama or Clinton, but I picked Edwards because I like him best.

Two southerners, hmm? Grits, anyone?

1. Thompson doesn't have a prayer of winning a presidential election.

He will not be protected nationally as he was locally, when he ran as a Tennessee Senator, against those skeletons in the closet.
I think his philandering will become very public. He loves whiskey, women and Cuban cigars. :dem: I can hardly wait. He's also too
