Somebody please explain this to me: |
|
Senator Craig pleads guilty to trying to pick up a man for sex in a public toilet and the Republicans are all over his case demanding his resignation.
Senator Vitter admits to soliciting prostitutes, and barely a word from the Republicans. Senator Vitter remains on board.
Could it be:
1. Louisiana has a Democratic governor who would make the appointment in Vitter's case, while Idaho has a Republican governor?
2. Hetero-sex with a prostitute is OK with the "family values" crowd, while gay sex is not?
3. There are a lot more Republicans who are guilty of what Vitter did than what Craig did, and people in glass houses don't throw stones?
What?

2. That was my best guess... |
|
I think #3 has something going for it, too.

4. Those are not mutually exclusive choices |
|
I'm inclined to agree with the "all of the above" response.

5. So, the answer is: Yes. |
|
:hi:
I think that, too. But, I think #1 is the prime reason.
