As school year starts, McGreevey heads to seminary
(LM: If nothing else, going from being the mayor of Woodbridge, New Jersey, moving to the New Jersey senate, getting elected governor, then--you know, no need to elaborate--then heading to the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church is an interesting career path...)

From AP, via the Philadelphia Inquirer:

As school year starts, McGreevey heads to seminary

TRENTON, N.J. - The nation's first openly gay governor is headed back to school Tuesday , as a seminary student.

Jim McGreevey will begin full-time studies at in Manhattan, seminary spokesman Bruce Parker confirmed. McGreevey switched his religious affiliation from Roman Catholic to Episcopalian earlier this year and expressed interest in pursuing a call to ministry.

As a student in the non-degree program at the seminary, McGreevey has up to a year to choose a course of study. In the meantime, he can choose a broad array of courses in theology, liturgy, ministry and related topics that are available to students who are unsure of their educational and vocational goals, Parker said. <snip>

3. Yeah, I don't care whether...
...he's Catholic, Episcopalian or anything else, I have absoutely no idea what's happened in the past--I only know what's been in the newspapers--but if he can sleep at night and maybe help a few people during the day, that's not a bad thing.
