Craig will not resign, Specter gave us a heads up.
Don't yell and scream if he is still in office on Oct 1. We always count our chickens before they hatch. He just bought a 20 day cooling off period. He lied his whole life, why change now.

We have been out conned again.

1. If true, that's more bad news for the GOP.
He's their problem, not ours.

It's already yesterdays news. It only matters in his home state and they
will get over it and even give him a boost for fighting to overturn his convection.

2. Works for me
I'd like him hanging around the GOP's collective neck a year from now.

4. Uh--he just bought a cooling off period with WHAT???

Not that his staying would bother me--it would make it that much harder for them for them to hold on to Vitter.

5. There's no telling what babble will spill from Arlen Specter's mouth next.
Craig's out of there and he's going to stay out of there.

If Craig's attorneys talk him into rescinding his resignation from the Senate, then Idaho's Republican Party operatives will shove him out of the airplane with their bare hands.

Things being as they are in Idaho and other places, Craig's recent headlines are not politically survivable.

9. Hi, CK_John. Well, you might be right. But Craig faces overwhelming
odds.

I don't see him rescinding the resignation, and if he were to rescind it, I don't see him as politically viable to retain the seat.

6. Fight 'em, Larry. Don't give up. You're better than your detractors.
And it will be fun to watch you destroy your party while you do it.

12. Naw, he's outta there. My hope is, they treated him so roughly
on the way out that he exposes the rest of the hypocrites. I'm sure old Larry knows a LOT about his colleagues after 30 years in Washington. Time to sing, Singing Senator!

15. Somewhere, former congressman Larry LaRocco (D-ID) is smiling.
LaRocco is the Democratic candidate for senate in Idaho. Give him a look, and maybe some cash.
