Edwards Statement on Bush Iraq Visit
Edwards Statement on Bush Iraq Visit
John Edwards for President
Monday, September 3, 2007

----
Chapel Hill, North Carolina – Senator John Edwards issued the following statement today regarding President Bush’s unannounced visit to Iraq.

"The situation in Iraq is too serious for any more ‘Mission Accomplished’ photo ops. It's good that the violence is down in Anbar Province, but it's a homogeneous area that lacks the ethnic conflict that's plaguing the rest of the country. Iraq needs a comprehensive political solution and our brave troops deserve better than more of the president's rhetoric that clings to a failed strategy.

"Sadly, now more than ever, we know this president will stop at nothing to keep his failed Iraq strategy going. As we recently learned, the president is so confident Congress won’t stand up to him in this fall’s funding decisions that he’s actually going to increase his request to fund the surge by another $50 billion—on top of the original $147 billion supplemental he requested.

“This week, when Congress returns, they will have to confront President Bush's failed Iraq strategy head on. Enough is enough.

"When Congress comes back, they should stand firm: No timeline, no funding. No excuses."

3. The problem is the Democratic candidates are still trying to play nice
They are still playing by old rules where the candidates didn't slander the opponent and they don't want to appear that they are slandering the bu$h regime.
They still think they can win being nice.

version of Iraq.
We know that there is no way that * is going to even come close to the reality of what is going on there.
Bet * even dresses up in one of his favorite military outfits for the occasion

4. I doubt he'll be leaving the heavily fortified security area either....
Which is NOT where the conflicts are. One secured area is not proof the "war on terror" is working. As we know, the "bad guys" just move it around.

6. Sleep well America, Geo W is Awake and in the john.

The big question is….how does a man who has has no combat experience, no combat training, no training in tactics, logistics or anything other than initial flight training, assess whats going on in Iraq. Even Bush’s flight training was no triumph. His instructor rated him as marginal.

This entire administration is a photo op.

7. Edwards is not to be taken seriously when it comes to catcalling about the war he helped start
He saw the bogus intelligence while on the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2002. He knew it was crap.

So what does he do?

He co-sponsors the Iraq War Resolution (IWR) with Joe Lieberman to give Bush the go-ahead to attack Iraq unilaterally. He basically let Bush start the war, along with others who voted for the IWR.

Edwards is clearly delusional if he thinks people forget what he is a direct participant in. As far as I'm concerned, he isn't relevant to tell anybody how to run the war and occupation.

My dog knew Bush wanted to attack Iraq. Millions of people marched the streets knowing it was going to happen. What does Edwards do? He hands the keys to Bush to attack Iraq.

If people can't see beyond this utter hypocrisy, I can only obviously see how it could all happen again. The lesson learned is that you can drum up the venom for war and help start it and then meekly apologize later....and then tell people how they should clean up the mess you helped create...

Does Edwards even remember what he did?

9. What SO MANY did!
How long did it take SO MANY Americans to realize what was happening to us? Many refuse to face it to this very day! Just like using chaos to steal, they used Americans stunned disbelief, their patriotism, their feelings of vulnerability, and their need to 'do SOMETHING' to protect themselves, to pull off this whole horrible PLAN. How many could have flat out refused to go along, given the possibility that we would be attacked again, and THEY would be blamed for not wanting to PROTECT America. The Rove machine was in full force then, until little by little we realized they were calling wolf. My thought is, HOW was the massive comprehensive Patriot Act put together so quickly after 9/11? Not to mention the coinciding Anthrax attacks. Gee, the perfect crime (so far) just so happened to be pulled off at the same time too. These two things seem to PROVE that 9/11 was an inside job, all coordinated so perfectly.

10. I Just Watched A CD About 9/11 & It Really Blew Me Away! There Is
so much information out there now. I was suspicious, but after I watched the CD it really made so much sense and pointed out so many things that when linked together looks like it WAS an inside job.

There are a lot of websites out there, but I got my CD handed to me at the Pentagon March in D.C. A girl came up and handed it to me and I put off watching it until recently. I almost wish I HAD NOT watched it! If true, these people running the country are MANIACS whose only concern is MONEY & OIL! And Giulliani was involved in it too! Check out dc911truth.org, 911dvdproject.com, 911truth.org, but there a lot more too!

11. How do you know he knew it was crap? Why didn't you tell your dog to call him?
How many keys did he give Bush? Where did he get the keys?

Who else gave Bush keys? Where did they get them from?
