Watching CNN, they just explained step by step how they "secretly" got * to
Iraq, including details about the secret convoy to the airport and how Air Force 1 took off with the shades drawn, so nobody could see who was aboard.

I've seen this before, descriptions about how the "surprise" visit by Bush or Condi or Cheney or whoever "secretly" got to Iraq.

Am I the only one who thinks it's rather odd? Should we be letting "terrorists" how we got our leaders to Iraq??

How is this different from the media releasing information about NSA spying, or a laundry list of other things.

* and his media handlers are idiots.

Does anyone else here think that's weird, and why?

2. "shades drawn, so nobody could see who was aboard"
What utter bullshit.

Next time you are at an airport, try looking in the windows of a 747.

They really do think we are idiots.

4. Yeah. Last time Bush was in the White House (which was quite a while ago,
I believe), he had all the shades drawn so no one would know
he lived there...

could be on board AIR FORCE ONE.

8. They run around with all their juvenile bullshit.
I have all kinds of theories as to why these people pull all this crap - victims of schoolyard taunts and bullies, gross insecurities, revenge-seekers, etc., but they seem to be a bunch of immature pricks playing "Grownup".

18. OK here's some alegbra...solve the problem.
You have one Air Force One Boeing 747 traveling at 250 knots. There's a one foot by one foot window with the shades closed. How many assholes are on board?

3. Air Force 1 is always a target of terrorists, wherever it goes and for any reason
It doesn't matter if the shades are drawn and the seat backs are in the upright position or not.

9. Sounds too much like the anti-choice preachers, hoping no one does anything
drastic but providing photos and addresses of clinic workers online.

Gives me the willies. I do not want bush as a martyr. It worries me that the man is becoming useless to cheney as the days tick by.

No pilot comes forward on spotting Bush's plane
From Dana Bash

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- One of the most suspenseful moments told of President Bush's covert Thanksgiving trip -- that a British Airways pilot spotted Air Force One as it secretly made its way to Baghdad -- has not been confirmed by any BA captains in the air that day.

A British Airways spokeswoman says none of its pilots has yet reported seeing or contacting anyone by radio about Air Force One.

According to a pool report from aboard Air Force One, reporters were told a British Airways pilot spotted the president's plane and radioed, "Did I just see Air Force One?"

Then, according to the report, after some silence, the official said the president's pilot, Col. Mark Tillman, responded "Gulfstream 5," a much smaller aircraft than Air Force One.

After a long silence, the British Airways pilot, seeming to get that he was in on a secret, said, "Oh."

British Airways says none of its hundreds of pilots flying that day has said he made contact with Air Force One or anyone else during the president's covert Thanksgiving trip to Baghdad.

"Only two British Airways flights were in the Mideast at the time," Honor Verrier, a spokeswoman for the airline, said Monday. "We spoke with the two captains. Neither made comments to Air Force One, nor did they hear any other aircraft do so over the radio."
