1. The disaster this country is in can NOT be handled by an inexperienced rookie...........
running with limited federal government experience and exposure, regardless of how brilliant he may think he is.

3. Good thing there are no inexperienced rookies running
They'll all be rookies when it comes to being President, but they'll all have the ability to do the job.

11. I agree, and that's why we must support Obama. He has what it takes to fix America.

4. For lack of imagination or the ability....
...to make an intelligent or factual argument. Just use the nice and easy one-liners that are easy for the opponent's sheep to remember.

5. Because

Hillary, the front-runner (for now), revolves her campaign around being the most experienced candidate above ALL of the other candidates to lead the country.

Why wouldn't you expect the other candidates to respond?

6. Even that poll overstates it
Edited on Mon Sep-03-07 06:43 PM by maximusveritas
Most voters just don't look at experience as a major reason to vote for someone, unless they're looking for an excuse to vote against someone, which is the case with Senator Obama. By talking about experience, Obama's opponents have given the voters a handy excuse to not vote for him. That's what it's about.
Still, I don't think it'll be successful. Richardson's experience argument has fallen flat so far and I think it will continue to do so. People don't care that much about experience. The candidate's positions on the issues, judgement, trustworthiness, and likeability matter much more.

8. And haircuts!
Don't forget how much a haircut costs can be a major issue with the average American voter too. That "argument" lasted longer on DU than who voted for the war authorization.

7. They're basically grasping at straws, trying to find something
to knock Obama out.

9. It's more politically correct to knock experience....even if Hillary doesn't have any more....
I think it is more than experience.

If you find yourself in a hole, do you go to the guy who has experience digging it, or do you want someone who can help you climb out?

12. Because the media has convinced people it matters so they can promote Hillary
Hillary is old washington and they are trying to promote her by counting her years as first lady waving as real experience and elimanate obama's years as a state senator as not legit. go figure.
But, they put this crap in people's heads to push their candidate
