"The eagle that flies alone gets shot"
I heard this on the NPR daily business show last night. It was a quote from an unidentified former CEO of Proctor & Gamble. Since this was a business show, the message was supposed to be that working together in a business is what makes a business strong and keep growing.

But it was so ironic they chose to that quote on labor day. That is the simple message that all labor needs to understand. In unity there is strength.
I am an alumni of P&G. They are extremely anti-union. But they stress teamwork, teamwork, teamwork. I sure wish that message could be assimilated by all workers.

BTW - note that NPR doesn't have a daily (or weekly, monthly or yearly) labor show - at least not here.

2. Excuse me, but I thought "eagles don't fly in flocks"
Correct me if I'm wrong, bird lovers. Thanks.
