Question for the Dean supporters |
|
Just curious, suppose in the next week, (hypothetical here,) Dean says "Enough."
Who would you support?
Kerry? Edwards? Kucinich?

5. some of us were pondering that in a poll thread I started |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=348758It appears a lot of people would still vote for Dean. My question is, what's the status of delegates who are pledged to a candidate who has withdrawn? Do they still vote for him?

6. I allready voted so it really doesnt matter |
|
But i would get behind Kucinich.
I dont think Dean is going to drop out though I think he came to the conclusion that it is better to stay in and help drive the debate than give up the fight. I plan to help him do it. I honestly believe without him in the race democracy loses.

he'll still be on the ballot. I'm not really sure who I'll support at this moment. I relate closest to Kucinich so probably him but I'll be very saddened I expect for a while when (if!) Dean drops out. If Kerry is the nod, right now he'll get my vote in Nov. but I'm not sure if I will do much more at this point. Expect to vote for the DEM and to tell other people to vote DEM as well.

I mean, I can't DISlike him. He's put a fire under the ass of democrats they've needed since 2000.
I'm just saying this because it looks like at this time, that Kerry is doing the best.
I am sorry that Clark dropped out.
Leberman stayed in WAYYYYY too long. (As in he should have dropped out BEFORE he started.)
Kuchinich I like too, he has good ideas.
Edwards, well, I don't know that much about him.

16. I'll support Dean. I'll vote Edwards, though. |

For the simple reason that he's NOT John Kerry. At least then Edwards will have a shot at stopping the train-wreck that will be Kerry/whoever.

Then I'll encourage everyone I know in every state yet to vote to vote for Dean as a protest.
Then, assuming Dean quits...I'll follow Dean's lead in the GE.
If he leaves the Dem party, so do I. (After the assfuck he got from the party, who would blame him?)
If he stays, then I may hold my nose and vote Dem, just to say I did it. In fact, what I may do if Kerry is our nominee is write Kerry's name in against Bush in the GE, that way there will be a separate tally of Kerry votes to measure the contempt of those who feel cheated by the party.
But - If Kerry is the nominee, he will get not one cent of my donations, nor one second of my time, and you best believe that 2004 will not be forgotten.

But before I get a bunch of flames, I am ABB in the general.

and from everything I've heard, Dean isn't quitting yet.
in answer to your question: I went from Clark to nobody, but am really amazed at the media treatment of Howard Dean.
All of thisis moot, the DLC is kramming kerry down our throats because it's good for us.
