Looking forward to March 2. When Kerry wins states overwhelmingly...
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 07:19 PM by bransonfu
throughout the Super Tuesday states. My honest opinion is that Dean's star has permanently faded and Edwards doesn't provide a compelling enough option for people to head his way instead of Kerry's.

I can put up with a couple more weeks of this Kerry bashing. But after that...when it is clear he is our standard bearer, I hope the Kerry attackers switch their tone and focus on Bush.

sorry...not wanting to sound overconfident...but he does have a commanding lead and is polling VERY well in all of the major delegate states.

hopefully, this one isn't as incendiary. sorry to offend. truly.

12. you're probably right, will....
but my GOD everytime I step in here these days its a new slam Kerry thread and hey: one would think people are out to beat Bush and even if it isn't their superduper candidate they will still get out the vote.

I'm just anxious to move into full attack mode on the PREZ from all directions.

15. It's called being the front-runner.
Ask any Dean supporter about the phenomenon; they can relate.

23. An eye for an eye
leaves two people partially blind.

I hardly think it's proper to retaliate in kind. Take the higher road. It's a small faction of posters who participate in candidate bashing. Me thinks assailing the masses for retribution is hardly productive canvassing.

13. I hope they do. I really hope they do.
I was proud to see how Clark supporters have more often than not rallied around John Kerry. Your description of an able senator who is likely your next president isn't very flattering, but I understand your frustration.

9. Well, a lot of us here do NOT think Kerry is the most electable
of the field. We have powers of analysis, just like lots of other people. So, sue us.

BTW, after the nominee is officially named, and I expect it to be Kerry, we might later have the privilege of saying, "We told you so!" How sad that will be.

11. Heavy, heavy sigh...
I find it hard to believe one might consider that bolstering rah-rah behind Kerry post actually productive.

As a Kerry supporter first, and a ALL OTHER CANDIDATES supporter second, I can say with certainty that, that post did Kerry no favors.

That post was at best, unkind to all the supporters here on GD that are biting their fingernails and waiting for the FUCKING VOTES TO ACTUALLY BE CAST AND COUNTED IN THE ENTIRE USA!

Can I say it any clearer?

18. I'm not trying to FORCE anyone to vote for someone
I'm merely stating my preference to get the show on the road. I'm stating what I hope to be a convincin win on SUper Tuesday.

I didn't bash other candidates. I didn't say they should stay in or stay out at this point.

I'm just venting my anxiety. Because I'm really starting to see what an ugly battle the GE is going to be.

Having an easily lampooned guy like Dean facing the Rove machine is not attractive to me.

Having Edwards...a guy who didn't even appeal to majority of southerners so far...go up against NASCAR Bush with NO foregin policy experience to speak of and very little government experience...just doesn't bode well.

Kerry is polling well and will continue to if we attack Bush on the legitimate issues that the WH just can't spin away.

27. I'm eager to get the show on the road too, compadre...
...but the pre-game show isn't over yet, and no one is wearing the Super Bowl ring... even if some are in position to phone in their ring size. Greater upsets have happened. Let's ward off bad karma, okies?

28. That is the rudest
thread post I have ever read. You have absolutely no respect for any other people other Kerry supporters. Your attitude is disgusting. I have been a Dean supporter for over a year. I put my heart and soul into this campaign. It gave me hope in a hopeless situation. I find your remarks to be a slap in the face to me and all of those who have a legitimate problem with Kerry. It is going to be hard enough to support him without having to listen to people like you.
