Like I said about those nukes...
http://www.atlargely.com/2007/09/like-i-said-abo.html

You can't simply "accidentally" load nukes onto a B-2 bomber and fly them to another base. Furthermore, how the hell did this get out?

After about two dozen calls from people asking me basically WTF is going, I can say that I honestly don't know. I don't know why this got out. I don't believe nukes can be accidentally loaded on a B-2bomber, unless they are not secured (which is bad) or if someone leaked this to give us a heads up on something afoot (very bad), or if someone is playing scare games with the target being Iran. I don't know, but I can safely say that this is out of the ordinary. Nukes don't just get "accidentally" anything and information of this type is not just released to the public. Never. Something is certainly afoot, but I don't know what it is.

Should we be concerned?
Yes

2. Mis-print
It's a B-52.

Good, sturdy plane to be flying after all these years.

3. Actually, I think Military Times reported it first...
I found it on Military Times and I believe I had the story on DU before it appeared on Yahoo News, but in any event, Military Times was my source. And even though some dim bulb said that no one was ever in danger, it was deemed important enough to inform the president and the secretary of defense.

The original article on Military Times is no longer there; it's been updated.

4. For the umpteenth time, they were not "accidently loaded"!
They were deliberately loaded onto the plane for transport. What went wrong was that the bombs weren't removed at Minot AFB where they were supposed to be, before the B-52 flew home to Barksdale.
