Poll question: Have you or anyone you know ever been polled in a Presidential poll? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-06-07 11:48 PM by Sapphire Blue
ie Zogby, Rasmussen, etc. I haven't & don't know anyone who has. I just wonder, w/107,810 registered DUers, how many have been polled or know someone who has.
If you vote 'YES', which poll & when was it?

1. I was polled when I lived in Joisey a few years ago, but... |
|
there's absolutely no way to compare DU with the sampling pollsters use.
Worse, the sample of people who answer this poll will be skewed even more-- DU is not a random nationwide sample, and people who answer this poll are not a random sample of DU.

No, this is not at all any kind of scientific sample, and not meant to be. I just posted it to find out if anyone here had ever been polled, since I don't personally know anyone who has.

9. Donm't remember specifically-- it was a while ago and... |
|
I was in a neighborhood that got polled a lot. Seems it was some kind of universal demographic that all the pollsters liked.
I suspect that's not the only neighborhood that gets more than its share of calls-- if they're going to do only a few thousand calls, they have to find the neighborhoods that won't skew.

Rasmussen called me about a month ago but I wasn't home and they did not call back...
otherwise just local surveys...
my friend found out that after a local surveyed her, she was listed "leaning Republican, pro-Bush and pro-life" ... she was getting all the mail... she was secretary for her local dem. district... the people who polled her switched her answers and recorded them that way...

3. in fla in 2004 i was polled 6 times..by phone.. |
|
Pew 2x ..rasmussen , zogby, gallop, and quinnipiac
the best in questions was quinnipiac most realistic questions..
the worst rasmussen..they asked who i was registered as ..dem or repig..i said dem and they hung up!!
Pew was very thorough some questions blah..others good..
Zogby was so so ..Gallop seemed slanted.
i had never been polled before in my life ..but from spring 2004 to election day..i was called 6 times..
i wondered if it was because i was now living in a place with alot of senior citizens.
I haven't been called since.

8. In the 2004 Election, I was phone polled at least 6 times |
|
I figure it was the Bush people (based on the questions) and they were polling their base as I live in Orange County, CA, or better known as Freeperville. Over a six week period it happened over and over again.
