I used to have a country
But now there is darkness,
Where once there was light
My bright land of truth,
Forgotten now in scandal and strife
Brother against Brother,
Something isn't right
Because you aren't proving anything
By allowing the Rape of the Innocent
You aren't proving anything except
With money, anything will ride

Do you hear us yet?
Our stomping feet circle our Capitol
While you hide in terror
You don't know us
You can't even see
The country you tried to take
It belongs to ME
And I won't go quietly
No meek, voiceless sheep, I
Will find all your weaknesses
Exploit them all, every one
Drive you out
Get YOU on the run
For a People such as we
Should never fear our governments
Though our goverments should fear we
The People
Not your right to take our freedom
Not your right to trample
Our beloved Constitution
Not your country
And son,you'd better be scared
Because now, today, and for all time
We're taking it back

I know it's not much, and not even very good as poetry goes. But dammit! I'm TIRED of this being One Nation for the Ultra-Rich and Screw Everyone Else! Someone's gonna snap. Something's gotta give. We, as a nation, are simply unable to withstand any more Bushit, and it's damn well time we TAKE IT BACK! I think many have forgotten that this is OUR nation, and that if we don't stand up for it, there will be nothing left to stand up for. We gotta wake up. We're killing ourselves, and Bushitler is laughing all the way to the ranch. We can't take any more. If not now, then never, because we don't have much time left. Hell, it may already be too late.
