Bin Ladin directed his message at the American people
http://english.aljazeera.net/English/archive/archive?ArchiveId=7403

"All that we have to do is to send two mujahidin to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al-Qaida, in order to make the generals race there to cause America to suffer human, economic, and political losses without their achieving for it anything of note other than some benefits for their private companies."

"Rather, the policy of the White House that demands the opening of war fronts to keep busy their various corporations - whether they be working in the field of arms or oil or reconstruction - has helped al-Qaida to achieve these enormous results. "

"It is true that this shows that al-Qaida has gained, but on the other hand, it shows that the Bush administration has also gained, something of which anyone who looks at the size of the contracts acquired by the shady Bush administration-linked mega-corporations, like Halliburton and its kind, will be convinced. And it all shows that the real loser is ... you."

After reading the whole thing, I understood why different media personalities were saying that the media shouldn't cover the message because it promotes Bin Ladens propaganda. But it is okay to promote that there is a video and message and promote our governments propaganda. They are laughing at it saying its ridiculous and its him just rambling but really not going into it? When I read it I was thinking " WOW, this guy doesn't watch the mainstream media for his news, he must be in the country witnessing our government first hand."

1. No doubt about it -
It's eerie how he has us figured out so well.

4. He worked for the CIA and Reagan in the 1980s.
He knows more about the US government than most Americans do. Think of him as a bitter, dangerous, ex-employee, lol.

2. If real, the video is at least a few years old
Here is an excerpt:

But I am amazed at you. Even though we are in the fourth year after the events of September 11th, Bush is still engaged in distortion, deception and hiding from you the real causes. And thus, the reasons are still there for a repeat of what occurred.

However you interpret "in the fourth year after the events," that puts the video after Sep 2004, still up to three years old. A minor point, perhaps, but worth noting, I think.

6. My understanding is that he mentioned Gordon Brown & Sarkozy and ...
The mortgage crisis in the US and the Democratic Congress.

It's a new video.

5. As writers go...
I've always been a fan. As far as fiction goes, I've taken up reading it again. It seems closer to reality than much of the self-promoting non-fiction-fiction being spit out by those paid to say who are feeding at the corporate trough. I haven't read any Ann Coulter books..so I'm not familiar with her writing style..but I bet this writer is a bit more realistic, and a little easier to follow.
