Four More Top GOP (Hyporcrite) Outings Could be in the Offing
Well, Well, Well. Mike Rogers' list comes trickling out. Some are no surprise, but they are BIG GOP names. This should be fun. How will Amurika handle these pompous, self-righteous HYPOCRITES!!??

Buzzflash is also reporting this.

3. The first four hypocrites:
Meanwhile, one blog claims there are four individuals likely to be on Mike Rogers' hit list: Congressmen Patrick McHenry and David Dreier -- and Senators Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Mitch McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader, from Kentucky.

13. No wonder Jeff Gannon had so many visits to the White House.
And I guess that is just the first four. I'm frankly surprised Rove wasn't mentioned/outed....yet.

I'm waiting for some Dem to be outed too. Then the press will go wild.

In order to simply be allowed in the White House (Rove?)

6. Oh damn it made my day when McConnell showed up
I heard that before tho, some time ago but since the press never picked up on it I just thought it was another rumor. Then when bush and the elections I forgot about it...I hope I hope I hope he can prove it...it couldn't happen to a more deserving person...the hypocritical S.O.B. holding up all the bills that would help people, especially our military. Sometimes the big Guy in the sky does try to set things right.

7. It's more serious than hypocracy. J. Edgar Hoover was being blackmailed by the mob!
Edited on Fri Sep-07-07 09:11 PM by bananarepublican
You see, they had photos of him and Clyde Tolson going at it. That is why Hoover denied the existence of organized crime until Bobby Kennedy came along.

Homosexuals that are outside of the closet can hold public office. Those who are closeted can be manipulated to act against the public interest.

9. You're so right about that.
It's been discussed here on DU lately that perhaps one of the "requirements" for GOP candidates is that they have skeletons in their closets. This way they can be "controlled" by the party. Must say it makes some sense, seeing how they stick together like glue on issues.

Just maybe that strategy is backfiring on them, too.!

25. Exactly
And it goes back as far as (and farther I know) in recent history as the Profumo Affair in the UK. Nowadays in the UK no-one cares who's gay, straight, bi or whatever and that's how it should be, but forcing people to be closeted is inviting blackmail and influence-peddling.

28. That is why ANY 'Skull and Bones' member is suspect!
In fact, anyone associated with any member of a 'secret society' should declare themselves if running for public office. Why did John Kerry give up so easily in '04?

J. Edgar Hoover was the '#1 crime fighter' for this country for how long? I suppose it depends on one's definition of what a crime is 'is'. Who would you, in hindsight, have hypothetically preferred running the FBI for all those years, Bill Clinton or J. 'cross dressing' (closeted) Hoover?

Wouldn't it be best if each member of congress not only declared their business/lobbying interests but also their 'love' interests. Anything out in the open is harder to use against the public interest.

I keep reading about it being a "published list" but WHERE is it published?

11. Don't think he's "published" it...........yet.
He's been working on this for quite a few years now. Doing investigative work, asked for testimonies from anyone who had info on them, calls them and asks them if they are gay & then has on record their denial, etc. But only goes after those who rail against & vote against gay rights, while "secretly" leading a gay lifestyle.

Think he's holding on to the list to make them sweat & squirm. It has recently become quite public knowledge that he has this list. I imagine he is waiting for the most opportune time to release the names.

12. That's what I thought too, but I keep seeing articles stateing it's a
PUBLISHED LIST! I've even read those articles here on DU. That's why I asked. If it's "published" where was it published? I thought maybe he wrote it in a book or something.

Here's just one example of what I'm referring to.

In the coming months, he plans to post the names of "a few more" closeted Congress members on his blog, he says, all of them Republicans. There are 33 names on his published list, most of them men, 30 from the GOP. That fact reveals more about the Republicans, he says, than about him. Although a registered Democrat, he says he is bipartisan.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/03/AR2007090301396.html

Do you understand why I asked?

I have to believe if it was published somewhere, DU would have known by now. I just don't understand why places like the wp and other prominent media keep saying published!

Maybe it's been published in some closed circulation publication inside the beltway?
I'm still going to keep looking.

10. If Lindsey Graham is on that list, the conservatives will throw him overboard in a second
They are still furious with him over the immigration/amnesty/cheap labor bill. With South Carolina having a Republican governor, he's be quickly thrown overboard if he is outed as gay.

17. Especially in SC! The one I want to see in McConell. He's been such an
ass and has recently gotten WORSE! I actually hope it's not all four at one time! The dribble of one every two weeks or soo is REALLY so much more effective!!!! And when the biggest anti gay opponents have their face out there first, only to be outed a few weeks later would be just too wonderful!

18. No wonder why these guys are such a-holes! Can you imagine
having to spend your whole life living a lie?
They have to be miserable inside. They have wasted their whole lives because they were afraid to be themselves.

I *almost* feel sorry for them.

26. Since spelling isn't important, might as well call them "hypercrits".
It would be nice if the Repugs' consciences inflated as large as their libidos.

When do these folks have time to steal our taxes and soil our flag --
between roll call, bathroom stalls and "nooners" with interns?
