I'm almost laughing my *ss off
The well-to-do in the Northeast end of Tacoma Washington are writing their letters to the editors for several days now. A developer wants to buy their golf course and turn it into condos. I'm thinking how does it feel you that have enough money not to feel too much pain in this administration's perchant to honor Bush's worshippers. My only comment to those "put upon" in Northeast Tacoma is "where in the hell were you when they started cutting low-income housing opportunities?" Oh, yah, I forgot it wasn't your problem. Well neither is your problem of developers and condos mine. Whine away you will lose your golf course...that is what you get for kissing the rear end of business...how does it feel?

2. They need to preserve the suburban eco-system!
Well-manicured grass is a natural habitat for poorly-dressed white guys.

3. How Would They Have Found Out About It?
"where in the hell were you when they started cutting low-income housing opportunities?"

How would people who are not seeking low-income housing likely to find out about it?

It is not as though the MSM exactly publicizes that sort of thing.

Phase-out of rent control seems to have been a done deal for some time in most cities that had it.
I never heard of any kind of vote on that anywhere.

When land prices are so high, it takes very large subsidies to build low-income housing,
and those subsidies have been mostly eliminated at the Federal level.

All the money is being sucked up by the war (profiteers).

5. That is just the point....the ruling class makes sure not too much
is said about it. You see what you don't know makes it easier to manipulate the common man.

4. No empathy here
Sorry but I have no empathy for the rich golfers losing their golf course. I am laughing my *ss with you. Too bad this does not happen more often. What about the first inhabitants of the golf course, the animals, the natural grasses, trees, birds and bugs? Nice to see people get slapped in the face by the product of the greed they have perpetuated.
