Anybody watch Hardball?
James Hoffa was just on there talking up Kerry wanting to drill all over the US, including Alaska. I thought he was the environmentalist candidate! Did anyone else see this?

I think we need to let Kerry speak for himself on this. BTW, I thought James Hoffa was buds with Bush.

Meaning his working relationship with Bush.

4. That's my point.
It seems to me that he'll say anything to to garner support. That's no good. I'm from Mass, and he's definitely not my candidate of choice.

7. Hoffa was BS ing
Matthews. Kerry wouldn't do that. He has very strong environmental instincts.

6. It was a bizarre statement
Hoffa said something like "John said no to drilling in ANWR but he said yes to drilling everywhere." Everybody else was laughing at him.
Anyway, let Kerry speak for himself. I'm POSITIVE Kerry supports NAFTA. Nevertheless, like you, I was worried, so I checked his site, and it says there under his energy plan that he favors natural gas pipelines in Alaska, so that could be what Hoffa was referring to.

Hoffa's an ass anyway.

8. Given Hoffa's acknowledged support for Bush* why would any of us
believe anything he says?

10. That was a very weird interview.
Kery has sold out on a lot of issues but I think he will hold firm on ANWR...his record on environment is a good one.

That said, I am, of course, rooting for Dean tonight.
