You so called expert on insurgency's and occupations. Please name one occupation that has been won and the victor able to leave totally?

Like Nam you fight out of defensive position's and hold no front lines. Your bases are subject to indirect fire at all times. IED's are planted when your patrols come in at night, and the next day they are used against our troops.

Al-qaeda is busy planning real attacks around the world while you continue to bullshit us about AL-qaeda fighting us in Iraq. you are fighting Iraqis who just want you to go home.

What makes you different from Westmoreland who for years told us we were winning in Nam? Like him , you take orders from your Chimp in chief. If he says to say something, you will say it.

I notice on your uniform you have no awards showing combat experience so you will be in good company when you stand next to Chimp in Chief.

General you have only defeated a CITY sir A CITY no real big deal there and it is far from real progress for the entire country.

Al-qaeda is in Germany and who knows where else planning attacks on the world and you will continue the neocon diversion in Iraq. Are you proud?

I know the general will not read this but i needed to vent. PEACE

1. You Can For Now And I Second It
In the future, if Petraeus and the * admin have their way, I seriously doubt it.

5. the President is hiding behind his General
and Petreaus is unfortunately damned if he does or doesn't in this situation the Pesident has put him into. I've said this before and will say it again- you don't do this to your military!
Putting Petraeus in this was unfair. And it will eventually destroy him. The Pesident destroys all his good men. Case in point- Colin Powell. A good man- forced to lie- and now has destroyed his reputation forever. Powell will never recover for lying to the U.N. At least he had the decency to resign before Bush's 2nd term. Petreaus is doomed also. Unfortunately.

8. it seems this general is more interested in keeping his job than serving the people
though it is at least within the realm of possibility this report may contain some quiet truths.
