Real Reason the GOP are Apoplectic and frothing at |
|
the Mouth over Move On Ad.
Remember a while back, the War Issue had really comt to a head. The GOPer's Constituents practically met them at the Plane yelling and giving them the business over the war.
Very quickly, there was a meeting at the WH between some Congress(R"s) and the President. It was reported that the conversations got quite frank and some might say heated.
It was reported that the Members told the President that Constituents no longer trusted him. Congress Members asked him to have General Petreus give the report from Iraq so the American People would believe the results.
(there were many posts here at that time-=Petreus would be saddled with whatever went wrong---remember that)
MoveOn's ad went straight for the jugular on what the GOP perceived as their strength. Petrus was to save all their skins; how dare this #!!!$****Activist Group mess up our playhouse!!!!!
They jump on attack Moveon to try throw the attention on Democrats hoping the public will be distracted and not get mad at them.
Remember The GOP has plans for a long stay in Iraq. and a large footprint while we are there.

2. Is there a line missing in the middle of the ad... |
|
...or is it just a glaring, horrible, amateurish job of proof reading?
The third paragraph of the body text starts a whole new column width, in mid-sentence. Did you clip the .jpg or did they actually run it this way?

7. That ad is smash mouth |
|
Leaves nothing unsaid (except for Petraeus lies about finding chemical weapons in Iraq years ago). An uncomplimentary photograph with the guy's mouth open, too.

We are all pretty use to seeing this stuff around here. I'm glad the rest of America has a chance to know the truth. Word plays like that leave an impression. I hope no one offers apologies for it! I'm sick of having to bow down grovel anytime anyone says something contrary to the White House. Stand UP!

6. I doubt that the FReepers read any farther than the headlines. |
|
Don't worry though, they never actually deal with the substance of any issue. Did they deal with Bush* military service record? No they went after Dan Rather. Did they question how Iraq became part of the 9-11 response? No, you're either with us or against us.
They continually twist to deflect the arguments. They can't talk about an issue.
Great job MoveOn...well, done!
