Kerry praised activists on Hardball
Said he appreciated the dedication of the anti-war activists and their determination to end the war. It was a really wonderful statement. I have to wonder about the motives of someone who only posts half his statement.

This is what really happened to John Kerry in 2004. He was attacked as much by DUers and the left as he was by the right.

And any time anybody said anything, the answer was always that posts on a message board don't matter.

If you want to end the war, you better figure out who is doing the fighting and start helping them instead of pissing on them.

1. Although I don't have a problem with MovOn's pun, I think Kerry
said exactly the perfect thing for those who DO object to it.

4. maybe tomorrow
Hardball used to put up transcripts the day after, I'll check tomorrow and post if it's there. Although I'm not sure why it's necessary.

5. I like evidence!
:P

You know that many here are always looking for links or
they say posts that use quotes are bogus without them.

I'm not doubting you at all.

8. Dont worry we will nominate Clinton and start a new mess.
You will have enough people split between Obama and Edwards and she will take it because we no Kucinich cant get it,I mean he stands up and speaks out about the attack on the constitution, Washington corruptness, peace instead of war, corporate control of washington, you know all those meaningless issues. :sarcasm:

I hope everyone wakes up before its too late and gives peace a chance!

9. Here's a link to video of Kerry on Hardball

Sorry, it's the National Review - but he says what Sandnsea says. Matthews tried to tie DKos, blogers and MoveOn together. It was clear that Kerry was annoyed with Matthews and he praised the activists before making his point about the ad.

Kerry has been leading the fight against this damn war for a very long time. Let's get some perspective around here.

11. Not only did he praise them
Edited on Tue Sep-11-07 06:37 AM by ProSense
he actually said the mistrust and suspicion because of the untruthful, misleading and out of touch statements were appropriate.

Yet this is how Kerry was portrayed in a frenzy of posts here by people ready to make this issue about Kerry instead of focusing on the real issues, which are the report and Bush's policy: traitor, fascist, corporate shill, failure, S&B, Petreaus protector, glad he's not president (I guess that's to say yay Bush is president?) and the profanity and vile comments. This shit goes on constantly. I know the wingnuts distort Kerry's words and smear him out of envy, stupidity and political calculation. Why does anyone not connected to the RW intentional do the same?

10. Yup, I heartily agree, there is no sense in bashing those fighting for us on the front lines.
If these gals were able to get anyone's attention, then it was worth it.
I don't recall the Vietnam War protesters from the late 60's and early 70's wearing suits and sounding too damned dignified when they shouted "Fuck Nixon!"

Something to think about.

13. Thanks Sandnsea. As an activist himself, of course he thinks
they're doing a great job. He just didn't like one ad. He's on our side 100% to end this war.
