trying to remember a play paroding Ronald Reagan from the 80's. .
Appreciate if anyone can help me recall a bit of musical trivia. In the 80's was out a hilarious play about Ronald Reagan. Google is getting me no where. Sort of a musical opera about the sillyness of the Reagan Administration. It inclueded such great songs as " Counting, Counting, Counting." and "I want my Cheese Please."
Any recall this rock- opera ? Appreciate your collective memories. thanks.

2. Been trying to search for a song in the play
It was called "Counting, Counting, Counting." All about DoD counting the dead in Nicaragua, El Salvador. Seems appropriate thinking of Gen. Pertraius counting methods. having no luck finding it . The "I want my Cheese Song,' came out right after Reagan's plans to share cheese with the poor.

"Class of 1988"
"Hot Jock" (parody of the air strike on Libya with vocals from Jon "Duckie" Cryer)
"Counting, Counting, Counting"
"Something for Nothing"
"All Sing Praise to Our Majority" (rip on the fundies)

5. Maybe something by the Capitol Steps?

One of their yearly follies?

it isn't "Doonesbury: A Musical Comedy,"

and it isn't the single about the "we begin bombing in five minutes" incident that was produced by Jerry Harrison the keyboard player of the Talking Heads right?
