And we're supposed to be grateful that maybe - MAYBE - by next summer, |

Bush might reduce the number of troops in Iraq to what they were BEFORE the surge?
Reminds me of a story my grandfather (from Russia) used to tell: A husband and wife go to the rabbi of the little village they live in, and tell him that they have no room in their little thatched hut, with three children and the wife's mother all living there in one room, but they have no money to build a bigger house.
The rabbi asks if they have any barnyard animals. Yes, they say, they have a cow, two goats, a rooster and four hens.
"Take them all inside and let them live there for a month," the rabbi says.
The husband and wife do as they're told. At the end of the month, they go back to the rabbi and tell him that there's no room to breathe, no one can sleep, the animals have made a mess of the entire place and they just can't stand it anymore. What does he suggest they do?
The rabbi says, "Fine. Now go home and let all the animals out."

1. Grateful or not, that is what you are getting. |

And Congress is going to continue funding this mess whether he cuts the number of troops or sends even more.
I'm pretty sure that the Dems won a majority in Congress in Nov of '06. Does anyone know when they get sworn in? :eyes:
