FORT MYERS: Giuliani, Clinton, Obama - Sawyer? A Southwest Florida man is trying to become the next Commander in Chief of the United States of America.
As 22 candidates battled it out Tuesday night in Cape Coral's city council race, a Fort Myers man had his eyes set on a much bigger prize.
John Sawyer is more than an underdog, he's a complete unknown. He has no political experience, but is running for President of the United States because he thinks he has something different to offer voters.
"I don't have a trust fund. I had to get out and work for a living," said Sawyer.
And now he's working for your vote next November. He has already filed with the Federal Elections Commission and he's running as a Democrat.
