Jim Calabrese is slated as guest columnist. Here that means he wrote a letter good enough to print but too long for the LTTE requirements.

He begins by discussing Huey Long's Governorship of Louisiana and how he was initially despised by his party, in part, because he worked hard for the people to improve their lot. He also discussed Long's corruption and ambition.

He touches on more current themes by talking about Long's early ideas that every man is a king, but no one wears a crown. "Democracy, he said, demands us to be vigilant and outspoken when we see our leaders failing our country- especially when we covet our party more than our nation."


He ends by saying: "We cannot afford another administration that creates false information, constitutional rape and poor management. Question our leaders! Hold them responsible for poor leadership. Stand up for your country!"
