In the astonishly remote likelihood that Kucinich *doesn't* clinch the nomination |

Will you support the candidate who is nominated?

2. Well, even though Hillary votes 93% of the time with the democratic majority |
|
She's apparently a "republican" to most people here.

You can find the links to the article which lists all the votes and how the party members voted in this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3513828&mesg_id=3513828 Two things to keep in mind: Obama only voted with the democratic majority 1.8% more than Hillary, and Hillary has a more progressive senate voting record than Obama by about 2%, according to www.progressivepunch.org

Although I hope with everything I have that Dennis wins, on the chance that he doesn't, I do want someone other than a repuke. HRC was my first choice until I listened to DK. Obama, Edwards, they are ok with me too.

8. If the candidate is DLC, a corporatist, or a war-monger, NO. |

That thins the pack out *just* a tad.

28. That would be exactly half as contemptible as voting Republican. |
|
Which is to say, pretty shameful.
I hope that between now and the election you decide that you like your nose where it is after all, face or no.

And I must say, it depends on the candidate.
I will vote for the dem, and I'd get out and knock on doors for Obama or Edwards. Not for Richardson. And I'd have to hope that the weather's nice on election day if it's Hillary, cuz I'd wouldn't stand in the rain for one minute for her.
I know I should get out and vote for the sake of the party, if not the candidate, but the DLC is NOT my party and has no claim on my loyalty

my Democratic candidate of choice, depending on who the nominee is. I live in very blue CA, and if the candidate can't take the state without my vote, they have no chance in hell of winning the national election anyway.

Well, how do you plan to vote, in that case? Or will you abstain? (Which is also your right, of course!)

I will not hold my nose again. I've had enough of that.
I will compromise to a point. There are candidates that I have reservations about, candidates who I'm not thrilled with, that could possibly earn my vote. Not HRC, and not Obama. Maybe Edwards or Richardson. Probably Gravel. That's half of them that could probably earn my vote.
Should a majority of Democrats not choose the clear leader of the pack on issues and record, they can probably still hold on to my vote with one of those.

23. Here is a better question: how many right-wing Democrats would vote for Kucinich? |
|
Tons of them voted for Bush in 2000 (and made Gore lose the election). Far more Democrats voted for Bush than voted for Nader. Yet the DLC hacks here always blame the left wing of the party for everything.

My grandfather, who passed away in 1996, is far more likely to win the election than our esteemed Mr. Kucinich.
