Didn't get out my calculator, but, this year looks really bad. The casualty average per month is more than 60.

1. 2007 will be the deadliest year of the war for the US

There has been an average of around 92 US military fatalities each month this year (excluding the month of September, which is still in progress). However, the overall monthly average for the entire war is only 70 US fatalities a month. These Pentagon numbers also do not include the "private contractor" causalities either. Of course, all of this is never mentioned in the corporate press.
